Two months out from launch, Rockstar Games has officially announced Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album, a 34-track collection dropping November 20, 2026, one day after the game itself hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It's being released in partnership with Atlantic Records, it has physical vinyl editions, and the artist list is genuinely difficult to predict.
Keith Richards. Travis Scott. Fred Again. Yung Lean. Morgan Wallen. Rauw Alejandro.
That is not a playlist generated by an algorithm. That is the most chaotic, beautiful, Vice City-coded roster you could imagine.
What Is This Album, Exactly?
This is not the in-game radio. Let that sink in.
The GTA 6 album features original music created specifically for the game, separate from the licensed tracks you'll hear while driving around Leonida. Think of it like a companion release: a curated artistic statement about the world Rockstar has built, not just a collection of songs cleared for background use.
Six tracks have been officially confirmed so far, out of 34 total:
- Yung Lean: "That's It" (feat. Future & Metro Boomin)
- Travis Scott: "RHYNO" (prod. by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one half of Daft Punk)
- CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy: "Sexy Magic"
- Morgan Wallen: "Last Thing You Need"
- Rauw Alejandro: "Macacoa 2000"
- Keith Richards: "Bright Lights, Big City"
The Guy-Manuel production credit on the Travis Scott track is its own story. The Daft Punk co-founder has been largely off the radar since the duo split in 2021, and a GTA 6 collab is exactly the kind of sideways re-emergence that makes sense in retrospect.
The Yung Lean track landing alongside Future and Metro Boomin on a GTA record? Fitting. Lean's melancholy-cloud-rap energy maps weirdly well onto the late-night Vice City vibe Rockstar has been selling in every trailer.
And then there's Keith Richards. On a GTA 6 album. A Rolling Stone legend on a video game soundtrack, performing a song called "Bright Lights, Big City." The range here is not accidental.
Why This Lineup Makes Sense for Vice City
GTA has always used music as world-building. The radio stations in GTA: Vice City were not just background noise, they were character. Flash FM, Wave 103, Emotion 98.3, all of them built a specific Miami of the mind even if you never left the car.
GTA 6 is returning to that setting, and Rockstar clearly wants the music to do the same heavy lifting. The 2026 version of Vice City needs to hold both the Morgan Wallen country-pop crossover moment and the Yung Lean underground. Both are genuinely Miami. Both are genuinely American in ways that feel specific to right now.
The Fred Again and PinkPantheress collaboration fits the same logic. Vice City is poolside and neon and humidity and whatever is playing at 3am in a club you probably shouldn't be in. That's the sonic territory Fred Again owns.
The Physical Editions Are Worth Talking About
Rockstar and Atlantic Records are releasing three physical editions:
Limited-Edition Vinyl: Two transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid, with exclusive artwork and packaging. Price: $124.98 USD. This is the collector's item version, and yes, the liquid-inside-the-vinyl design is real.
Standard Vinyl: $49.98 USD. Two discs, standard pressing.
CD: $19.98 USD. For anyone who still has a CD player, no judgment.
The limited vinyl is the one that will end up in unboxing videos. Transparent magenta with blue liquid is almost aggressively photogenic, which is almost certainly the point.
Pre-orders are live at the official site (gtavi-thealbum.com).
What This Means for the Radio Stations
Here's the thing to keep in mind: the 34 tracks on this album are separate from the in-game radio. The game's radio stations are expected to feature licensed tracks that will not appear on the standalone album, which means the overall GTA 6 music catalog is considerably larger than what's been announced.
Rockstar has already confirmed multiple radio stations for GTA 6, covering the full range of genres that Vice City's setting demands. The album is a curated slice of something bigger.
That's actually good news if you care about the radio experience specifically. The game's soundtrack and the commercial release appear to be distinct products, which suggests neither one is compromised to support the other.
The Countdown to November 20
GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The standard edition is $79.99, the Ultimate Edition is $99.99, and pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
The album drops the next day, November 20. So your first full day with the game, you can also put on a Travis Scott and Guy-Manuel collaboration produced specifically for it.
That's a launch window designed to dominate a news cycle, and it probably will.
28 more tracks still to be revealed. Given what the first six look like, the complete list is going to be worth the wait.
